I Pray for you
I pray for you
My friend
And join with you
In your times of joy
And deepest trial.
I stand with you
Beside you
Nearer than if I were there in the flesh
And in such silent advance
I can aid you in battle
Or the thankful dance of success in Christ.
I fly ahead
On winds of Spirit
That e'er your way may softly rest
Free from torment by evil's hordes
Who flee at Jesus' name.
I drop to the depths
Within your heart bruised sore by woe
And enter realms
I may not clearly understand
But I bear the touch of Yahweh's healing
That restores you
Revives you
In spite of how little I may know.
When you are weak
Or feel alone
My heart reaches toward you with arms of faith
And holds you close with Heaven's Love
So you may believe from the center
That God has not forgotten you.
And then when your victory
Shines before as Mercy's gift
My soul shall fast rejoice beside you
As bright renewal dawns.
And so in this moment
Of sacred stillness
I fall to my knees
To sing a soft request of Grace
And rise to meet you
From across a distance now ever minute
And though you do not see me
Or hear me
Forever you may know
That I care.
